We are happy to get a visit of PhD student Haakon Bakka from NTNU in Norway. Haakon will give a course/lecture-series about the R-INLA project and software, which he has done several times already around the world (see the News/Recent announcement section at www.r-inla.org.  The R-INLA software does approximate Bayesian inference for latent Gaussian models, which is a HUGE class of models.

The plan is as follows

- 20,21,22,23rd Feb, each day 16-17. General introduction to R-INLA
- 26,27,28Feb,1Mar , each day 16-17, Spatial SPDE-models using R-INLA

The course will take place in room 4102, Bld 1. No registration is required.  The basic ideas and theory behind this will be explained, and the software will be demonstrated.
